During Nov. 12-13, a VA Mobile Vet Center will visit Okmulgee and Bristow as part of the “VA 2 Vets” outreach initiative. During their stops, VA staff will provide nonmedical readjustment counseling and outreach to combat Veterans and their families, addressing the social and economic dimensions of post-war needs.

The Mobile Vet Centers will be located at the following locations during 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day:

Nov. 12 - VFW Post 1189, 1427 N. Okmulgee Ave, Okmulgee

Nov. 13 - American Legion Post 126, 131 W. 8th Ave, Bristow

Mobile Vet Centers are operated by VA’s Readjustment Counseling Service and are among VA’s premier, front-line outreach resources designed to interact with Veterans in rural communities, community events and special occasions. As an integral part of the Vet Center system, Mobile Vet Centers offer Veterans information on topics such as individual and group readjustment counseling, military sexual trauma, marital and family counseling, VA benefits and community education.

Veterans and family members seeking information about the Vet Center or other VA services can visit the Mobile Vet Center on a walk-in basis during this important state-wide outreach effort. The Vet Center looks forward to providing an opportunity to engage in face-to-face dialog with a VA representative within the local community.

At the foundation of the Vet Center Program is respect for the privacy of all Veterans and family members, by maintaining all information in the strictest confidence.  Staff will not communicate or transfer information to any third party or agency without the written consent of the Veteran except in circumstances necessary to avert a crisis situation.

Veterans can also visit the Tulsa Vet Center, which is located at 14002 E 21st Street, Suite 200. The Tulsa Vet Center has the following office hours:
