WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) - The chairwoman of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal College Board of Regents says the college will be closed at the end of the current semester.

Pauline Harjo said in a news release Wednesday that the college is being shut down because of a lack of continued funding from the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes.

The college opened in 2006 and is located on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

The college offers Associate in Science degrees in Tribal Administration, Children's Teachers, American Indian Studies, and General Studies and Harjo says it has graduated 55 students.
