OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded grants to four Oklahoma tribes to monitor air quality on tribal lands.
The EPA says the grant money will help the tribes better protect their land from toxic air pollution.
The Cherokee Nation has been awarded nearly $438,000, while the Quapaw Tribe has been awarded more than $270,000. The Delaware Nation is receiving nearly $69,000 and the Choctaw Nation more than $70,000.
