OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $470,000 to Native American tribes in Oklahoma and New Mexico for a project aimed at developing and managing environmental programs in tribes' regions.
Officials say in Oklahoma, the Otoe-Missouria tribe received $120,000 and $110,000 was given to the Apache tribe. The Pueblo of Picuris and Nambe tribes of New Mexico were awarded $120,000.
