FARGO, N.D. (AP) – A judge has ordered restitution in the case of a Fort Totten woman convicted of theft from an Indian tribal organization.
Authorities say Melissa Hunt fraudulently prepared and signed loans in the names of others at the Spirit Lake financial office where she was employed. She pleaded guilty in April.
U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson earlier this week ordered Hunt to pay back more than $2,500 to the department, which is to be credited to two separate personal loan accounts.
