PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (AP) – A federal grand jury has indicted a 38-year-old man on charges that he threatened to kill police officers working on the Mohawk Indian reservation on the U.S.-Canada border in northern New York.

The U.S. Attorney’s office in Albany says Roy Redeye threatened to kill three St. Regis Mohawk police officers in posts made on his Facebook page. He was arrested in Cortland, where he was living at the time, on Feb. 10. Authorities say the arrest came four days after authorities say he made the threats.

Redeye is being held in the Clinton County Jail in Plattsburgh. His lawyer did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

The case is being investigated by agents with the U.S. Homeland Security investigations unit based in Massena, near the St. Regis Indian Reservation.
