BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota’s congressional delegation says two American Indian tribes in the state are getting federal grants for diabetes prevention and treatment.

The Three Affiliated Tribes is getting about $518,000. The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa’s Trenton Indian Service Area will receive about $270,000.

Sens. Byron Dorgan and Kent Conrad and Rep. Earl Pomeroy, all D-N.D., say the money is being distributed through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
