However, Jessie doesn’t have her sights on matrimony. She has her sights on competition.

It’s time for the great Annual Sofkee Making Contest to see who makes the best sofkee. Jessie plans to go head-to-head with the champion sofkee maker of all times, Eeechkolawneee Hoktahlaht Hubbard. See who will win at hearts and who will win at sofkee making. Get ready to grab your plate of red beans, rice and fry bread, and a big slab of salt pork as you dine on comedy and romance at its best.

The American Indian Theater Company proudly presents a Mahenwahdose Production, “Rabbit Boy Dances with Otter Girl,” a romantic, original screwball comedy written by Will Hill and Winona Henderson, starring Will Hill and Jehnean Washington. The play also features Native Americans Mike Buckendorf, Winona Henderson, Alice Whitecloud and others. It will be performed at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center June 3-4, 2011 at 8:00 PM, located at 110 East Second Street, downtown Tulsa.

The production is funded in part by the American Indian Arts Festival, National Indian Monument Institute, Oklahoma Arts Institute, Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust, Prescor, Inc., and the Tulsa Indian Arts Festival.
