Oklahoma students now have an opportunity to earn their degree at a substantially lower cost as part of a new tuition reduction program recently put into place by at Bacone College.

“Bacone has been a part of the Muskogee community since 1880 and these new lower tuition rates are a way for us to make sure students are able to continue their educational goals without being unfairly burdened by the cost,” said Aaron Jordan, Executive Director of Admissions at Bacone College. Vice President of Enrollment Management, Darin McDugle is excited about the potential impact on the community. He states, “The cost of education has increased at schools across the nation. Bacone is going in the opposite direction and is actually reducing the amount that students will pay for their tuition costs”.

The tuition rates are available only through Bacone's Division of Adult Education, which provides accelerated educational programs, offering classes online and in the evening to fit the busy schedule of working adults. The new rates are set at $400 per credit hour-down from the previous rate of $515 per credit hour will begin in the Summer session starting June 9th.

“This is a great chance for students who already have college credit or an associate's degree to complete their four-year degree,” said Krystle Lane, Director of Adult Education at Bacone. “The program is also open to students who are considering college for the first time and are looking for a way to fit a degree program into their already busy schedule.” The program is designed with the adult student in mind offering, convenience, opportunity, value, degree options that fit their careers, course offerings that are flexible, personalized attention, and an institutional knowledge that adult students are adults first and students second. Classes are scheduled on their time around their schedule, blending seamlessly with their busy environment.

We understand that what our students need from education is personal development and career advancement opportunities, change, encouragement, self-esteem, increased earning potential, and choice.

Bacone offers 29 degrees, including nursing, medical imaging, business administration, accounting, education, christian ministry, criminal justice and American Indian Studies among others.
