The Simon Estes Educational Foundation, Inc. offers college scholarships to graduating high school seniors.   For the last 30 years, The Simon Estes Educational Foundation, Inc., a multiracial, nonprofit Oklahoma organization, has been committed to promoting higher educational opportunities for area graduating high school seniors by providing scholarships made possible through charitable contributions.

Each scholarship is for $10,000, payable to the university of  choice in annual disbursements of $2,500 for four years of undergraduate study.  Awards can be applied toward tuition, books and fees.  Scholarship continuance is based on academic performance and strict adherence to specific guidelines.  Applications for the Simon Estes Educational Foundation Scholarship are available in the guidance counselor’s office of most Tulsa area high schools, online at www.seef.org or at The Simon Estes Educational Foundation office, 100 North Greenwood Avenue.  All eligible applications must be in the Foundation’s office by 5:00 p.m. on March 17, 2014.

Special consideration is given to African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic and Native American students.  All applicants exhibiting scholastic excellence, financial need, and high moral standards are eligible regardless of race, religion, sex, or ethnic origin are considered.

High school seniors who meet the minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply:

·         Documented financial need

·         High School G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher (weighted/un-weighted)

·         ACT or SAT scores

·         Acceptance to the college or university of choice

·         Permanent residence in Creek, Osage, Muskogee, Rogers, Tulsa, Okmulgee, Wagoner, Washington or Pawnee County

·         A well-defined motivation to pursue higher education and a personal sense of values
