HOLLYWOOD, Fl. – The Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Native Learning Center (NLC) is expanding its trainings outside of Florida and has moved the Indian Housing Training Conference to Tulsa, Oklahoma. It will be held Sept. 10-13, 2013, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tulsa Downtown, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Registration is FREE for Native Americans and those working within Indian Country.

The conference will provide housing professionals with skills and tools to maintain good homes, build affordable homes, improve public safety, and provide essential building blocks to a healthy community in the heart of Indian Country. 

Over the course of this four-day conference, participants will be able to join critical sessions related to tribal housing programs and imperative to HUD’s Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) Program. Sessions include, but are not limited to, NAHASDA-related courses that include NASHADA Essentials, Financial Management, and Program Administrative Policies and Procedures.
