DURANGO, CO - Fort Lewis College will host the first every Native American & Indigenous Leadership Conference on Thursday, February 16 in the Student Union Ballroom. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

The conference will bring together Native American experts on leadership from across the country. The presentations will include games, seminars, panel discussions and lectures.

Set to participate in the conference are such Native American luminaries as Dr. Henrietta Mann, Dr. Alyce Spotted Bear, Dr. Elvira Bitsoi Largie, Dr. Maria Williams, Dr. Timothy Begaye, Mr. Richard Williams, and Mr. Venancio Aragon. Members of the Fort Lewis College faculty will also add their insights and experience. FLC's own Dr. Rick Wheelock will offer the conference's keynote address at 4:10 p.m.
