OKMULGEE, Okla. – The College of the Muscogee Nation held its 2nd graduation ceremony in the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Mound Auditorium on Saturday May 1st.  Among students graduating, was Edward F. Mouss II.



The CMN recognizes Edward F. Mouss II as the first student to receive an Associate in Applied Science in Gaming from the CMN and the State of Oklahoma. Mr. Mouss completed his degree in the Spring of 2009 and participated in the commencement ceremony.



Edward F. Mouss II also has an Associate in Applied Science in Hospitality Services from OSU Institute of Technology. He worked as a chef in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at restaurants such as The Loring, The Dakota and The Solarium at Calhoun Beach Club. In Minneapolis, he also attended McNally-Smith College of Music and completed the percussion program.



After returning to Oklahoma and working at a casino, Eddie became interested in a degree in gaming. He enrolled in the gaming program at the College of the Muscogee Nation.



Inspired by his studies in gaming, Eddie pursued a Bachelors Degree in Information Assurance and Forensics. “Computer security and digital forensics are so heavily integrated in the gaming industry that this will prepare me not only for management but also for areas of gaming regulation. The gaming industry is diverse and my education and experience will fit with three main components: hospitality, entertainment and information technology,” says Mouss.



In addition, he is the drummer in The Joint Effect, a local band that plays metal, hard rock and blues. Mouss and his son, Damon, live in Henryetta. Mr. Mouss is Creek/Cherokee and belongs to the Tukvpvtce Tribal Town and the Raccoon Clan.
