VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) – The nation’s top Indian law academic competition is coming to Vermillion this month.

The University of South Dakota school of law will host the 2010 National Native American Law Students Association Moot Court Competition from Thursday, Feb. 18 through Saturday, Feb. 20.

The event draws teams from colleges and universities from Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, New Mexico, North Dakota and Oklahoma.

Competitors will be judged by members of the tribal, federal and state judiciary as well as lawyers with an expertise in Indian law.
