SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – Officials say a pair of federal economic development grants will help the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah build and cultivate an RV park and campground.

A $70,000 grant from the USDA Rural Development agency includes small business management training for seven new employees for the Koosharem RV Park Campground, and will train a manager.

A separate Housing and Urban Development grant of $850,000 is paying for the design and construction of the park.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says the grant announced last week will help the tribe grow their business and eight jobs.

It's one of 16 projects nationwide funded by the most recent round of rural development grants.
