BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The Three Affiliated Tribes is getting financial help for debt consolidation and infrastructure projects on the Fort Berthold Reservation in North Dakota.

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is providing a $20 million loan for the efforts, which include a building to house an Indian Health Service clinic, and road and utility work.

The Three Affiliated Tribes in 2009 received a $30 million loan for several economic development and infrastructure projects. The new loan will refinance the 2009 loan and provide money for additional projects.

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community operates Mystic Lake Casino in Minnesota and other enterprises, and runs a charitable giving program.
