WINNEBAGO, Neb. (AP) – The leader of a $150 million American Indian business will be honored by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Ho-Chunk Inc. CEO Lance Morgan has been chosen as the region's Minority Small Business Person of the Year. An award presentation ceremony is planned in Winnebago on Thursday morning.
SBA official Leon Milobar says Morgan has led his company to economic success and provided hope to the Winnebago Tribe through the company's philanthropy.
Ho-Chunk has donated more than $1 million to the community since it was created in 1994. Ho-Chunk has more than 1,100 employees.
The SBA region includes Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri.
