MCGREGOR, Minn. (AP) – The business arm of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe has added another hospitality acquisition for the Minnesota band.

Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures has purchased Big Sandy Lodge & Resort near McGregor for nearly $7 million.

The deal closed this week. The sale includes seven cabins, 14 town homes, the 18-room lodge, a rustic log home, The Pines Restaurant and The Bear's Den Sports Bar & Grille. The sale does not include the nearby Minnesota National Golf Course.

Big Sandy is the site of the Minnesota Governor's Fishing Opener later this spring.

Tribal officials say Mille Lacs Corporate Venture has been considering the property for about three years.

The Star Tribune reports tribal officials say they don't plan any immediate changes.
