TribalNet recognized the 2014 Tribal Technology Industry Award recipients at the 15th Annual TribalNet Conference in November 2014.

It was another tough decision this year for the TribalNet Advisory Boards as they reviewed so many recommendations of some amazing highlights and accomplishments of the year. TribalNet’s Executive Director Shannon Bouschor comments, “We would like to thank ALL of the tribal organizations and enterprises who submitted their recommendations this year. Each season we are thrilled to have the opportunity to hear so many positive changes happening at tribal organizations and enterprises all across the U.S. through the effective use of technology AND leadership/management strategies.  Win or lose each and every story should be a success that is celebrated.”

The two well deserving teams that were officially recognized this year with the awards presented onsite at the 15th Annual TribalNet Conference were the Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures IT Department and the Forest County Potawatomi IT Department.

One of the recipients accepting the award at TribalNet, Ned Weizenegger, IT Account Manager for Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures comments, “We are thrilled to be recognized with an Industry Award from TribalNet. It’s paramount for the gaming and hospitality industry to continue to innovate and this recognition is a direct endorsement that reinforces our continued commitment. It’s also a tribute to our talented team that works together to advance our company through innovative technology.” Christopher Luter, Director of IT for the Forest County Potawatomi Community comments on the conference as a whole- this was his first year attending, “TribalNet was an outstanding value to my team and I. It was scaled and focused on tribal technology operations with vendors and speakers in attendance that are key to our success, this event is one that will be on my team's agenda every year.” TribalNet congratulates these IT teams and their entire organizations for their continued success in the industry.

In the first quarter of 2015, TribalNet will start accepting nominations and be releasing new award criteria for 2015 categories that allow tribal organizations and enterprises to have a more targeted goal to strive for in the year. Categories such as “coolest IT project”, “biggest revenue generating IT project” and “most member impactful IT team” are just some of the ideas the advisory board is considering. An announcement will be made soon of what the final categories are for the New Year and all size IT teams are encouraged to apply.

The deadline for the 2015 award which will be presented at the 16th Annual TribalNet Conference, November 2-5, 2015 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, TX is 10/1/15.  For more information on TribalNet go to www.tribalnetonline.com
