GROVE, Okla. (AP) – The Cherokee Nation and Cherokee Nation Entertainment are breaking ground on a new casino near Grove.
The casino will be the tribe’s 10th and is expected to create 175 jobs.
The casino will be on 24 acres on Highway 59 north of Grove and near the Monkey Island resort.
In addition to electronic and table games, the casino will include a restaurant, a full-service bar, live music and a dance floor.
The casino is projected to cost $23 million and open this winter.
