HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) – A Hard Rock hotel is coming to downtown Hartford.

Hard Rock International announced Monday plans to build a 170-room property in the Connecticut capital’s Downtown North neighborhood.

The hotel, located at Main and Trumbull streets, is expected to open fall 2018. It’s being developed by Centerplan Companies and will be managed by Hard Rock International.

The Orlando-based company, which is owned by the Seminole tribe, says the property will complement Dunkin Donuts Park, a minor league stadium in development nearby.

Hard Rock International says the hotel will feture a rooftop pool and lounge and its signature rock memorabilia-themed Hard Rock Cafe. It’ll also let guests check out Fender electric guitars for use in hotel rooms.

The Hartford Courant reports the developers have not yet submitted a proposal to the city.
